8-Year-Old Boy Dies In Apparent Drowning At Knoebels Amusement Park
ELYSBURG, Pa. (CBS) -- A young boy has died after being found unresponsive in a swimming pool at a Pennsylvania amusement park.
It happened around 3 p.m. Saturday at Knoebels Amusement Park in Elysburg, Northumberland County.
Knoebels said on Facebook that "a tragedy occurred" when a lifeguard found an 8-year-boy unresponsive in the park's Crystal Pool.
Lifeguards and a first aid team immediately administered CPR. The boy was then rushed to a local hospital where he later died.
The boy's name was not immediately released.
The incident is under investigation.
