ABINGTON, Pa. (CBS) -- Montgomery County authorities announced the arrest of Leroy Clark, 71, on charges of first-degree murder and related offenses in the shooting death of 73-year-old Robert Duncan on December 23, 2015.

Police say that Clark shot Duncan after an argument and fled the scene driving a Dodge Caravan.

Less than 15 minutes after the incident, authorities say Clark was stopped by police and refused to surrender. Authorities say he fired his weapon, causing self-inflicted gunshot wounds to his chest and mouth.

Clark underwent surgery and was transported to Philadelphia for treatment. Clark was arrested on May 9 and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on May 20.
