Driver Killed In Crash On Route 55 In Millville
MILLVILLE, N.J., (CBS) – New Jersey State Police are investigating a fatal crash Monday afternoon.
The accident was reported at about 2:09 p.m. at Route 55 southbound near mile marker 28.7 in Millville.
State Police say a blue Honda lost control and struck a tree in the woods.
Authorities initially reported five were injured, however, only the driver was inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.
The others were witnesses to the accident.
State Police say the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Only one southbound lane is open at this time.
Drivers should expect delays in the area.
