2-Year-Old Drowns In Neighbor's Pool In New Jersey
BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — Police are investigating the drowning death of a 2-year-old girl who was found floating in a neighbor's in-ground pool in Berkeley Township.
The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office says the girl, whose identity it did not release, was reported missing shortly after 8:30 p.m. Monday.
Police interviewed the child's parents, searched the neighborhood and found the girl a short time later floating in the shallow end of the neighbor's swimming pool.
Authorities say the investigation is in its early stages, and are not releasing further information.
