Dozens Injured In Accident Involving 2 SEPTA Trolleys In West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Dozens of people were injured this afternoon in an accident involving two trolleys in West Philadelphia.

A SEPTA spokesperson says the two Route 10 trolleys were going west on Lancaster Avenue around 1 p.m. when one bumped the other at 38th Street.

CBS 3 reports 46 passengers went to the hospital, but none of those injuries are life-threatening.

Trolley service in the area was diverted for a couple of hours while authorities cleared the accident.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
