Three Rescued After Boat Bursts Into Flames Near Shinnecock Inlet

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- Three people were on board a boat that burst into flames near Shinnecock Inlet on Sunday.

After the boat caught fire, the group jumped into the water and had to be rescued by the Coast Guard. A good Samaritan had noticed the blaze and called for help.

The boat was a 36-ft cabin cruiser. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
