Woman Looking For Love Takes Out Taxi Dating Ad

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Forget dating apps or dating sites, a New York City realtor is putting herself out there by taking out ads to try to find a man.

Ann Cutbill Lenane is a familiar face inside New York City cabs. Her creative ads marketing luxury Manhattan apartments play on Taxi TV.

This week, she has a very special listing.

"I have managed to sell billions of dollars' worth of New York City real estate, but the one thing I haven't been able to get done is to find a wonderful, single, divorced dad to re-marry," she says in the ad.

The tongue-in-cheek campaign is called "A Man For Ann," and it's playing in more than 7,000 cabs. The 56-year-old has been divorced for 15 years and says it was simply time to put herself out there.

"You have to be creative in this market. I mean, this is a digital age of dating. You are one picture. You're gonna be a swipe left or swipe right, so I wanted to be a swipe right," Lenane told CBS2's Christina Fan.

The 30-second commercial lists here qualities, but also spells out potential dealmakers and dealbreakers.

"If you're a gentleman with a kind and generous soul and you love your mother, but you still don't live with her and can appreciate a 56-year-old fit and fabulous woman, feel free to give me a call," Lenane says in the ad.

The ad has only been playing in taxi cabs for four days, but it's already working. Lenane says she's received emails from hundreds of potential suitors.

Fan: "Has anyone caught your eye yet out of the people who have emailed you?"
Lenane: "Maybe a couple, maybe a couple. We'll see."

The top realtor currently holds the listing for Bruce Willis' multi-million dollar country home. She hopes her skills can help her meet a new beau.

"I thought, you know, I can get everything done in life, but love, I haven't been able to get done," Lenane said.

Love that could be waiting in a taxi cab near you.

Lenane says the ad only cost her $5,000 and will be running through the weekend. She says it's a worthy investment.
