New Jersey Sets Up Pet Rescue Hotline For Residents After Sandy
TRENTON (CBSNewYork) - There's a new resource for New Jersey residents that had to abandon their pets during Hurricane Sandy and its aftermath.
Gov. Chris Christie unveiled a hotline for residents to call to report their missing pets. The hotline is 1-855-407-4787.
The hotline is open 24 hours a day.
The Christie administration established the hotline to minimize the risks of pet owners returning to damaged homes to check on their pets.
