Man Accused Of Stalking 17-Year-Old In Stamford

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A Stamford, Connecticut man is accused of stalking a 17-year-old restaurant waitress.

As WCBS 880 Connecticut Bureau Chief Fran Schneidau reported, 43-year-old Victor Obregon has a history of stalking young women.

Stamford police said once he saw the teen at a restaurant where she worked, he began leaving huge tips hoping to win her over.

Lt. Diedrich Hohn said the girl did not accept the tips but Obregon persisted, appearing outside her home and calling her.

Hohn said Obregon permanently tattooed his body with the names of the girls he's stalked, including his latest victim.

"On his chest he had four names of females and one being our victim, our 17-year-old victim," said the lieutenant. "He had her name tattooed on his chest as well as three others and when we looked into his history, the three others were the victims of his other incidences."

Obregon remains in police custody awaiting a court appearance on the latest stalking charges, Schneidau reported.
