Everyone wishes they had the perfect neighborhood Mexican spot; 5 Burro is that perfect little spot. Thankfully also open for lunch, 5 Burro offers their full menu for lunch, with minor changes like two tacos instead of three. This will still definitely stuff you full of delicious food inexpensively, with enough for leftovers to take home. Try anything with the 'tasty pork & cilantro' because, as the name suggests, it is tasty. VERY tasty. Each platter comes with rice, beans, healthy scoops of sour cream, guacamole, and refreshing pico de gallo for you to garnish your tacos, though they don't need the garnish to be delicious. If you're feeling daring, try a mini-margarita - each garnished with a cute toy - for $5.

Tiella, a cozy Italian spot on the Upper East Side, may not seem like much as you wander by. But don't be fooled; the food here is truly delicious and locals in the know probably don't want you to know this, else the already impossible-to-get-a-table at times restaurant will be even more difficult to visit. From the beautifully plated dishes to the exquisitely executed tastes, knowledgeable and friendly staff, Tiella is definitely the kind of place you will want to visit again and again. The moscardini (baby octopus alla 'luciana'), the grilled calamari or any of the tiellas (small pizzas) are particularly good.

RUB, or Righteous Urban BBQ, offers plenty on the menu to bring a smile to anyone's face. From chili cheese fries - smothered in liquid cheese and their homemade chili, made with the house-smoked brisket, to fried green tomatoes, barbecue wings, or barbecue bacon chunks, there's really just too many delicious items to be satisfied with a single trip. Smoked pastrami is also a standout; combining the classic New York taste of pastrami with the smoking process results in super tender, super smoky sliced meat...goodness in your belly. Wash it all down with a sweet tea or a lemonade, and finish your meal with a bacon chocolate chip cookie.
