Elderly Woman Struck, Killed By City Bus While Crossing Bronx Street
NEW YORK (AP) -- An elderly woman has been struck and killed by a city bus while crossing a Bronx street.
Police say Friday 74-year-old Gloria Mabry was struck at about 6:45 p.m. Friday. They say she was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
They say a BX38 bus hit Mabry after turning left as the woman was crossing a street. They say the bus driver remained at the scene.
It wasn't immediately clear if Mabry had the light when she was crossing. Police say the investigation's ongoing.
