B&C Morning Show: Frank Viola in the Allstate Studio with Boomer & Carton

Frank Viola pitched in the Big Leagues for 15 years (1982-1996) for 5 different teams including the Mets from 1989-1991.  Viola posted a 20-12 for the Mets in 1990, but overall his time in Flushing was not what everyone had hoped it would be.

A good majority of Viola's success came during his time in Minnesota (1982-89) where he won a World Series MVP in 1987 and then followed that up with a Cy Young Award in 1988.

These days Viola is working as the pitching coach for the Brooklyn Cyclones and he joined Boomer & Craig this morning to talk about his baseball playing career and what he is expecting and looking forward to with his new job.  The guys even let Viola listen to their try at calling a Cyclones game a few years back..
