Shahzad: Number Cruncher to Terror Suspect
It wasn't always Faisal Shahzad's goal to blow up an SUV in Times Square, killing hundreds of people. He once sought to "work in a high-energy and challenging business environment," according to his professional resume.
Shahzad sought to tell employers of his experience working with "Fortune 500 companies" and "excellent analytical, oral and communication skills and keen perception," according to a document posted by MSNBC.
The man who allegedly attempted to cause horrific destruction to innocent people called himself a "good team player" and an "accomplished result-oriented employee."
Shahzad worked as a "client reporting analyst" for Affinion Group in Norwalk, Conn. From June 2006 until "the present."
Before that, he appeared to have been promoted through the ranks at cosmetic giant Elizabeth Arden, where he worked on budgets, cost analysis and profit strategy.
He claims to have made Dean's List at the University of Brideport in Connecticut, the same institution where he received his MBA in Finance. He also claims to have been the recipient of the University of Bridgeport's Academic Scholarship.

Shahzad was charged Tuesday with trying to blow up a crude gasoline and propane device inside a parked SUV amid tourists and Broadway theatergoers.
He was in custody after being hauled off a Dubai-bound plane he boarded Monday night at Kennedy Airport despite being under surveillance and placed on the federal no-fly list.
