BOSTON - Researchers say a shark that was rescued from a Cape Cod beach last summer has returned to the area one year later, CBS Boston reported.
The juvenile great white shark, which was named Jamison, became stranded on the sands of a Chatham beach on July 13, 2015.
Jamison was revived and tagged before being brought back out to sea.
The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy posted Wednesday that Jamison returned to Cape Cod on June 29 of this year.
He was detected by a receiver located off Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge.
Researchers plan to provide updates on Jamison's movements throughout the summer.
