Orlando Bloom departs "The Hobbit" with fun song

(CBS News) After being a cast member in the ongoing series of Tolkien legends made into movies, how does one finally say goodbye? Why, through song and a bit of humor, of course! Which is exactly what Orlando Bloom, who played the elf Legolas, has in store for you above.

The tongue-in-cheek and meta music video, which follows up some more recent fun by the cast we highlighted, was posted on YouTube by director Peter Jackson who writes about the moment:

A day after saying goodbye to Gandalf and Tauriel, it was time to farewell Legolas. What a great day it was, with Orlando battling a serious Orc for all 12 hours of shooting - part of the Battle of the 5 Armies for the third Hobbit movie. When we finally got the day done, we said goodbye to Orlando, had a couple of beers ... and couldn't resist doing this!

We'll all miss you, Legolas! For those who are curious, the viral clip being parodied is from 2007, and I'm including it below for reference. And to check out more videos and behind-the-scenes from director Peter Jackson, be sure to visit his YouTube page by clicking here.
