Mel Gibson is a grandfather again

(CBS) Actor Mel Gibson has a new grandbaby in his midst.

The embattled Oscar-winner's daughter Hannah welcomed a second son Saturday night with her husband, blues singer Kenny Wayne Sheperd.

"Hannah and Kenny did indeed have a baby boy Saturday night," Sheperd's rep confirmed to CNN.

This is the third grandchild for the 55-year-old, who has seven children with ex-wife Robyn and a 1-year-old daughter with former girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.

The news comes a few days after Gibson pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor count of domestic violence against Grigorieva. He was sentenced to 36 months of probation and ordered to attend 52 weeks of domestic violence counseling.
