Meghan Trainor has hemorrhage on her vocal cords

Meghan Trainor is giving her powerful vocals a rest.

The 21-year-old singer announced Thursday night that she has a hemorrhage on her vocal cords. Doctors have put her on vocal rest, forcing her to postpone two gigs at the start of her MTrain Tour.

"I have never missed a tour date before so this is killing me," she wrote on Instagram. "I love you all very much and want to get healed quickly so I can show you this amazing tour we've been working on." She apologized to fans for the cancellations.

Trainor also posted a video to Instagram from New York where she expressed her thoughts via text on her phone screen. The "All About That Bass" songstress revealed she was in Manhattan to see another doctor. "So frustrated but cant make any noise," she captioned the pic.

Trainor isn't the only singer facing vocal cord issues lately. Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger and Sam Smith have had problems with their vocals this year as well.
