"I would be absolutely devastated if I was not invited to the wedding - that would be the last straw," Johnston says to Inside Edition.

Johnston, 43, first learned about her son's engagement to Bristol Palin through the media on Wednesday.

Levi Johnston's younger sister, Mercede Johnston, 18, recalls the morning when her mother came into her bedroom, holding a laptop that showcased "the beautiful picture of Levi, Bristol, and Tripp on the cover of US Weekly."

In her blog post titled, "Who needs coffee when you wake up to news this shocking?" Mercede Johnston writes, "My mom was very upset, with tears running down her face yet still trying to console my other family members who were texting her and sending messages via Facebook saying they were very upset that they had to find out about this engagement from the media and not from Levi himself."

Mercede Johnson, who is also uncertain whether she'll be invited to the wedding, says she's happy to see her nephew, 18-month-old Trip, back in her brothers arms, but also questions the couple's sudden decision to get married.

"I do wish you guys would take a little more time with this decision, and I certainly do not understand why you are rushing things. Unless of course there is some reason for the hurry," she writes.
