Lady Gaga designs bracelet for Japan crisis

(CBS) Lady Gaga is extending a helping hand to those affected by the catastrophic earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan.

The singer designed a bracelet, which is now for sale at her online store, and is donating all proceeds to relief efforts.

The red and white bracelet says "Pray for Japan" in both Japanese and English, and features Gaga's signature claw symbol. It retails for $5, but fans are encouraged to donate more if they can.

And the sales have already added up - to the tune of $250,000 so far.

"Monsters: in just 48 hrs you've raised a quarter of a million dollars for Japan Relief," she posted on Twitter Monday. "It's important we help."
