Kate pulls out of attending Invictus Games due to morning sickness

Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, has pulled out of two more public events as because of the severe morning sickness she's experiencing during her second pregnancy.

The duchess was due to attend the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games (a sporting event for wounded servicemen and women organized by Prince Harry) and watch a Games event on Thursday, but Kensington Palace has confirmed she won't be going, according to The Telegraph.

Meanwhile, her upcoming visit to Malta -- which would be Kate's first solo overseas trip -- will be "kept under review and a decision taken closer to the time," the palace added.

Kate is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, the same acute morning sickness she experienced while pregnant with Prince George. On Monday, a spokesman said the duchess, 32, was being treated by doctors at her and Prince William's London residence, Kensington Palace.

At an Invictus Games training event on Tuesday, Harry said Kate was feeling "pretty poorly" but "doing the best she can."

"I hope my sister-in-law gets better soon and [she and William] have the opportunity to go through the whole process again with a little bit of peace and quiet," he added.
