Idina Menzel dyes her hair blonde

Gather up all your "Frozen" references and "Let It Go" lyrics, because Idina Menzel just made herself the real-life Elsa.

The singer-actress dyed her hair an icy (get it?) blonde earlier this week, and showed off the results in an Instagram selfie.

In the post, she thanked her colorist and explained the reason behind the dramatic color change. "Look what me and my girl @jtfranchuk did today. Needed a change. Loving it! #brunettetoblonde #blondehairdontcare," she wrote.

Menzel provided the voice of Queen Elsa in "Frozen" and the new short film "Frozen Fever." A sequel to the animated Disney hit is also now in the works.
