Hillary Clinton narrowly leads Donald Trump in Nevada, according to a Suffolk University survey released Thursday.

The poll found that Clinton leads Trump 44 percent to 42 percent and that about 5 percent of likely voters in the state back Libertarian Gary Johnson. Green Party candidate Jill Stein will not appear on Nevada’s ballot. About 5 percent of likely voters said that they remain undecided.

More than half of the state’s likely voters said that they don’t think Clinton or Trump is honest and trustworthy.

Nearly half of Nevada’s likely voters said that they approve of the job President Obama is doing while about 46 percent said that they disapprove. Mr. Obama won Nevada in both the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections.

A plurality of voters named jobs and the economy as the most important issue facing the next president and terrorism and national security came in second.

Asked if America is great, about three-quarters said yes, and 20 percent said no.

The poll also found that 41 percent of voters said the system works while 39 percent said the system is rigged -- a claim that Donald Trump has made repeatedly in recent weeks.

The poll surveyed 500 likely voters in Nevada between August 15 and 17 with a 4.4 percentage point margin of error.
