German Father "Fixes" Teen Daughter's 57 Yr. Old Boyfriend, Say Police
BIELEFELD, Germany (CBS) A German father became so incensed upon learning his teenage daughter was dating a 57-year-old man that he went to the man's home and castrated him using a bread knife, police say.
Helmut Seifert is facing attempted murder charges after he allegedly castrated Phillip Genscher for carrying on a relationship with his 17-year-daughter, reports The Telegraph.
The father, a 47-year-old factory worker, had asked authorities in the town of Bielefeld to intervene, but the officers told him they were powerless to do so.
Seifert then decided to take matters into his own hands, rounded up two of his work colleagues, and proceeded to the victim's house, says The Telegraph.
When they arrived, they forced Genscher to remove his trousers and then allegedly castrated him while he was fully conscious.
Police said the "severed testicles were taken away by the perpetrator."
Genscher, who almost bled to death before calling police did survived the attack, will remain a eunuch for life, says The Telegraph.
Seifert told police: "I received a phone call anonymously that my daughter was involved with a guy 40 years older than her. You said you couldn't stop him - so I did....I saw it as my duty as a father."
According to The Telegraph, the vigilante has pleaded guilty and will stand trial for attempted murder sometime next year. Seifert has not revealed the identities of his alleged accomplices.
