Donald Trump backs out of presidential forum in South Carolina

Citing a business conflict, Donald Trump announced hours before the beginning of a presidential forum he was slated to address Friday that he would have to skip it.

A release from his campaign read, "Mr. Trump has a significant business transaction that was expected to close Thursday. Due to the delay he is unable to attend today's Heritage Action Presidential Forum. He sends his regrets and looks forward to being with the great people of South Carolina on Wednesday in Columbia."

Trump plans to attend a town hall meeting with Sen. Tim Scott, R-South Carolina, in Columbia on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Trump's opponents, Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, Ben Carson, Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, Carly Fiorina, Chris Christie, Ted Cruz, and Bobby Jindal will all speak at the forum.
