Dave Chappelle is courting controversy in the new teaser for his upcoming Netflix special, "Equanimity." In an expletive-laden clip, Chappelle says, "I've never had a problem with white people ever in my life, but, full disclosure, poor whites are my least favorites. We've got a lot of trouble out of them."

Specifically, the comedian says that "poor whites" are the reason why President Donald Trump is in office. Chappelle talked about encountering "poor whites" when he voted in the presidential election.

He said, "I've never seen so many of them up close. I looked them right in their coal-smeared faces. And to my surprise, you know what I didn't see? I didn't see one deplorable face in that group. I saw some angry faces and some determined faces but they felt like decent folk."

Chappelle added that he made "so much money last year" that he got to rub elbows with rich white people, who he claims call poor white people "trash."

"I felt sorry for them," he continued. "I listened to them say naïve poor white people things: 'My man Donald Trump is going to go to Washington and he's gonna fight for us.' I'm standing there thinking, 'you dumb motherf***er.' You are poor. He's fighting for me!" Chappelle has slammed Mr. Trump in the past.

"Equanimity" is the third part of Chappelle's comedy special for Netflix and will be available on Dec. 31. He reportedly has a $60 million deal with the streaming service.

In March, he told Gayle King on "CBS This Morning" that he does miss "Chappelle's Show" sometimes.

"But 'Chappelle's Show's' like breakin' up with a girl and you still like her. But in your mind you're like, 'That b**** is crazy. I'm not goin' back,'" Chappelle said, chuckling.
