Channing Tatum, Steve Carell spar in "Foxcatcher" trailer

Steve Carell is wrestling inner demons in the new film "Foxcatcher," also starring Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo.

A new trailer for the upcoming crime drama has arrived, with footage of Carell as we've never seen him before.

The "Anchorman 2" and "Office" star donned a prosthetic nose and heavy make-up for his portrayal of John du Pont, a real-life millionaire who was convicted in 1997 of murdering Olympic wrestler David Schultz (Ruffalo).

Tatum stars as David's brother Mark Schultz, also a successful Olympic wrestler in his own right.

"Foxcatcher" was directed by Bennett Miller. No stranger to films based on trues stories, Miller also helmed 2005's "Capote" and 2011's "Moneyball." The "Foxcatcher" screenplay was co-written by Dan Futterman, who penned the screenplay for "Capote."

Miller and Futterman each received Oscar nominations for their work on "Capote," and they're poised to continue that success with "Foxcatcher," which made its debut at this year's Cannes Film Festival to extremely positive reviews.

Miller won the best director award at Cannes, while the film itself was nominated for the prestigious Palme d'Or.

Check out the trailer below to see Tatum fly off the handle.

"Foxcatcher" hits theaters on Nov. 14.
