Aerosmith hits the streets of Boston to play a free show
Crowds are currently lining the streets of Boston to catch a glimpse Aerosmith. On Monday at noon, the band will play a free gig dubbed a surprise "street party" in its hometown, and fans are waiting in the cold on Boston's Commonwealth Avenue.
Aerosmith will be introduced by New England Patriots President Jonathan Kraft and a couple of Patriots captains, as well as the football team's cheerleaders. While at the show, Aeorsmith will be encouraging people to go out and vote on Tuesday.

The outdoor concert comes a day before the release of the band's new album, "Music From Another Dimension!" It marks Aerosmith's first album of all-new material in more than 11 years. The album, recorded in California and Massachusetts, features a duet with Carrie Underwood on "Can't Stop Loving You."
Marti Frederiksen, who co-wrote and produced many of the album's songs, told CBSNews.com the music for the Underwood duet came together in only about 30 minutes. He says fans can expect everything from rock to pop on the new album.
Aerosmith kicks off a new leg of its tour on Thursday in Oklahoma City, Okla.
