France weighs a state of emergency and curfews after a weekend of riots and thousands of arrests
Nearly 2,400 people were arrested and almost 1,000 police officers injured during Saturday’s nationwide protests over living costs and public services, according to France’s Interior Ministry. Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu asked prefects for partial curfews.
