In the bays of the nonprofit Lift Garage in Minneapolis, mechanics are on a mission to provide low-cost auto repairs.
Engine maker Cummins agreed to pay a $1.675 billion penalty and spend more than $325 million to remedy emissions violations.
"Climate change is here. It is terrifying. And it is just the beginning," U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said.
"Humanity is on thin ice, and that ice is melting fast," the U.N. chief said, calling a new report on the rate of climate change "a survival guide for humanity."
