Although their fates remain a mystery, these few moments of glory will always be remembered...by them.
The MLB All-Star Game needs a little more ridiculousness. So we're fielding our own All-Star Team, made up of mascots.
After months of buildup and a weekend of smaller events, the excitement is really starting to pick up for the All-Star Game. The players were at Target Field Monday for their only practice, and the Home Run Derby is slated for later Monday night.
Seattle's Felix Hernandez will start Tuesday night's All-Star game for the American League and Adam Wainwright of the St. Louis Cardinals will open for the National League.

Frank Thomas, otherwise known as the "The Big Hurt" is in town for the All-Star game on behalf of the Gillette Home Run Derby. He remembers playing in past All-Star games, and the first Home Run Derby in Minneapolis in 1985.
Even with more than 90 losses for three straight seasons, the Minnesota Twins have averaged more than 30,000 fans a game since Target Field opened in 2010. The ballpark itself is clearly part of the draw. "I love the architecture," Jessi Oeltjen of Spring Valley said. "I'm a design buff, so just the architecture, the design, the layout. Once you get inside, there is not a bad seat in the house."
It was a sunny, summer Sunday as some of the brightest prospects in baseball took to Target Field for the 2014 All-Star Futures Game. It was especially fun for Twins fans as they got their first look at prospects Jose Berrios, Kennys Vargas and Alex Meyer playing in their future home ballpark. Berrios was recently promoted from High-A Fort Meyers to AA-New Britain. So far, advancing a level hasn't phased him.
Sitting in the Minnesota Twins locker room Sunday surrounded by many of the most promising minor leaguers, Christian Binford remembered back five years ago, when he was a 10th grader pitching for the Mercersburg Academy in Pennsylvania. Up to the plate walked some stud on the other team who was good enough to attract 10-20 scouts.
San Francisco's Tim Hudson, Cincinnati's Alfredo Simon, San Diego's Huston Street and Washington's Tyler Clippard have been added to the roster for Tuesday's All-Star game at Target Field as the National League changed about one-third of its pitching staff. They replace a quartet of pitchers who started Sunday: the Giants' Madison Bumgarner, the Reds' Johnny Cueto, the Padres' Tyson Ross and the Atlanta Braves' Julio Teheran.
Brian Dozier played his own version of Home Run Derby against the Colorado Rockies, hitting two into the left-field seats. Next up, the real thing — in his home park. Dozier had his first career multihomer game to get cranked up for the derby and the Minnesota Twins beat the Rockies 13-5 on Sunday.
Maya Moore scored 16 of her game-high 26 points in the third quarter Sunday to lead the Minnesota Lynx to a 77-60 victory over the Seattle Storm. Janel McCarville scored 13 points while Devereaux Peters added 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Lynx (16-6), who won their third straight and have the best home record in the league at 9-1.
The Minnesota Twins and the city of Minneapolis found new locations for the two streets commemorating the Twins' Hall of Famers, Kirby Puckett and Rod Carew. Kirby Puckett Place and Rod Carew Drive will be relocated next to Target Field.
The Minnesota Wild continue their developmental camp, and one name to watch down the road hails from Grand Rapids, Minn. Avery Peterson came back for his senior season at Grand Rapid High School, and won Mr. Hockey in the state.
