Pilot dies in plane crash at Winona Municipal Airport
A 74-year-old pilot died in a plane crash in Winona, Minnesota, Thursday evening.
Authorities say crews were called to the Winona Municipal Airport around 8 p.m. after hearing of the crash.
The lone pilot of the plane died despite lifesaving measures, the Winona Fire Department said. He was operating an airborne ultralight trike.
The pilot was identified as Wayne William Ledebuhr.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.
