WCCO Tours Cathedral Of St. Paul For Its 100th Anniversary

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- For the last century, the Cathedral of St. Paul has shone like a jewel atop the skyline.

One-hundred-years ago this weekend, the official dedication took place. But the cathedral has continued to change and grow since then.

In honor of its centennial, Natalie Nyhus, Mike Augustyniak and photojournalist Brad Earley learned the story of the cathedral from Father John Ubel, who invited them on an all-access tour of a lifetime.

The bell tower and cathedral dome are off limits to the public, but self-guided tours are welcome anytime, and a $2 donation gets you a tour book.

Guided tours are available Monday through Friday at 1 p.m., and you can just show up.
