WATCH: Xavier Rhodes Goes 100-Yards On The Pick-Six
By Rahul Lal
Minnesota Vikings cornerback Xavier Rhodes made what is sure to be one of the most impressive plays of week 11 and the NFL season as a whole. Watch below as he picks off Carson Palmer in the endzone and returns the ball to the house for six.
The interception is the longest in Vikings' history as it is officially ruled a 100 yard interception return. Rhodes broke a record set in 1991 where Reggie Rutland returned an interception 97 yards.
The 26-year-old corner is enjoying the most successful season of his already successful career. The interception was his third on the season also. The Vikings have been a disappointment lately dropping their last four after starting the season as the last remaining undefeated team. Much of their early season success stemmed from their defensive dominance and plays like this will go a long way in trying to return to the top.
