U Students Swing Axes Celebrating Forestry Day
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Students on the agriculture campus at the University of Minnesota celebrated Forestry Day with some plaid flannel and axes.
Friday marked the 78th year the university has celebrated Forestry Day.
The event traditionally involves some lumberjack demonstrations.
And one forestry student decided to go out on a limb, demonstrating modern tree climbing techniques.
The students split into teams to take part in the ultimate forester competition.
