Target Drops Mask Mandate

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Many Minnesotans won't need to mask up on their next target run.

The Minneapolis-based retailer says that it won't require shoppers or workers to wear masks indoors as long as local laws permit it. The move comes as COVID-19 cases drop nationwide in the wake of the Omicron surge.

However, Minneapolis and St. Paul still have indoor mask mandates in effect.
