State Patrol: 2 Killed In Head-On Collision With Sugar Beet Truck

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota State Patrol says two people died when their truck crossed the center line and collided head-on with a sugar beet truck in Clay County Monday evening.

According to the state patrol, a Dodge Dakota truck was traveling southbound on Highway 9 north of Felton at 11:13 p.m. when it crossed the centerline a crashed into the sugar beet truck. The two occupants of the pickup truck died at the scene.

The sugar beet truck driver, identified as 55-year-old Patrick Moran of Waubun, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The identities of the victims have not been released.
