St. Paul Releases Mobile Pay App For Parking Meters
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The city of St. Paul has joined other cities with the release of a mobile pay app for parking meters.
Starting Tuesday, residents and visitors of downtown St. Paul can pay for metered parking from their phone or smartphone.
"We are always looking for ways to better serve the residents and guests of Saint Paul. Paying for parking by phone is another way we are making getting around Saint Paul more convenient," Public Works Director Kathy Lantry said. We're really happy about the new service this partnership brings."
Lantry is talking about the city's partnership with Passport, which allows users to remotely pay using their app.
The PassportParking mobile pay app is available on Google Play and in the Apple App Store. Motorists can also use its mobile website or call 651-571-4037.
For now, remote payments for parking is only available in the downtown area. Updates to coverage will be posted here.
Minneapolis released a similar feature last fall.
