Sputtering Wild Recall Rookie Zucker For Offense

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Wild have recalled rookie left wing Jason Zucker from the AHL to help their struggling offense.

The move was made on Friday, after the Wild were shut out by St. Louis and Chicago this week. Minnesota had lost five of seven.

The 21-year-old Zucker leads the Houston Aeros with 24 goals in 55 games. He was named to the AHL's All-Rookie Team this week. In 14 games with the Wild this season, Zucker has four goals and one assist, with a plus-five rating. With Dany Heatley and Matt Cullen hurt, the Wild have been missing some scoring punch.

They host the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday.
