Snowstorm Prompts Gophers Hockey Postponements
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The University of Minnesota has postponed men's and women's hockey games because of the snowstorm.
The Gophers men were scheduled to host Minnesota Duluth on Saturday night in the second game of their weekend series, but they'll play at 4 p.m. on Sunday instead.
The Gophers women were also scheduled to host Ohio State on Saturday afternoon, but they'll play on Sunday as well.
The Twin Cities campus was closing at 1 p.m. on Saturday, with all events after that postponed or canceled because of the storm. The men's basketball game between the 22nd-ranked Gophers and Eastern Kentucky tipped off at noon and went on as scheduled.
