Sawyer Co. ME Working To ID Body Found After Car Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Sawyer County Medical Examiner's Office is working to identify the badly-burned remains of a person found in a car fire last Tuesday night.

Deputies were called to a report of a fully-engulfed 2005 Chevy Impala in a ditch on Luds Lane in Draper Township at about 11:15 p.m.

A body that was burned beyond recognition was found after crews put out the fire.

The Sawyer County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
