Police Searching For Suspect In TCF Bank Robbery
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Minneapolis Police are searching for a suspect after a TCF Bank in Minneapolis was robbed Wednesday night.
Authorities said the incident happened at about 5:10 p.m. at the TCF Bank inside the Cub Foods store on the 2800 block of 26th Avenue South in Minneapolis.
Police said a black man entered the bank and used a deposit slip to write out a note demanding money. After waiting in line, he handed the teller the note and displayed a handgun. The man got the money from the teller and fled into the grocery store before exiting towards the back.
The suspect is described as a black male about 20 years old, 6 feet tall and weighing 180 pounds with a dark complexion. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark aviator-style sunglasses and dark pants at the time of the robbery.
Minneapolis Police and the Minneapolis FBI are investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call Minneapolis Police.
