Patrons Prepare To Pay For Piece Of Porky's
ST. PAUL (WCCO) -- Porky's in St. Paul served its last burgers Sunday. Now, its memorabilia is being cataloged for the auction block.
Just about everything from closed diner is up for auction. However, the auction company handling the online sale says the famed pig and lights won't be sold and, for now, will be kept in storage.
A local historic preservation group, Preservation Alliance of Minnesota, hopes to raise enough money to buy the signs if they do get put up for sale.
The auction began online Monday at 6 p.m. and will go until Wednesday.
