'Padraig's Place' Gets Families Into Adaptive Skiing

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- For parents of children with special needs, simple things like going out to dinner as a family can be a challenge.

That is why Brian and Eileen Foley started Padraig's Place adaptive ski program, which gives families the chance to hit the slopes together.

Saturday is their 8th annual Ski Race Benefit, which gives skiers and non-skiers the chance to honor participants, donors and supporters of Padraig's Place.

The race starts at 5:30 p.m. at Buck Hill. There is also a silent auction and live music as well. Click here for more details.

In the video above, Mike Augustyniak and Natalie Nyhus spent the day on Buck Hill with the Foleys -- and some very special children.
