One More Game: Lynx Host Fever In Deciding Game 5 For WNBA Title

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- So it's all come down to one night. The Minnesota Lynx and Indiana Fever meet Wednesday night in a winner-take-all scenario.

It's Game 5 of the WNBA Finals at Target Center. As Mike Max tells us, the advantage should go to the Lynx not just because of the home court, but because they have the best player in the game in Maya Moore.

The good news is where the Lynx are playing this game: Target Center, in front their home fans. And at least one member of the Lynx believes that provides the ultimate home court advantage.

"For sure. It's the best so it should be fun. It should be loud. It should be lots of fans and lots of energy in here so it'll be good," guard Lindsay Whalen said.

The home court is important, no doubt. It always is, but not as important as what Minnesota has to offer than Indiana doesn't. Her name is Maya Moore.

She blew up social media when she added to her allure with a buzzer-beater game-winner in Game 3.

"Unfortunately that wasn't the WNBA title game so there is still some work to do as we've seen," Moore said. "So hopefully we can give friends and family in the Twitter world something else to cheer about."

On a team filled with stars, she is the star. Moore is the one that you look to to bring the ship through the storm: The MVP.

"She's a leader vocally and physically. She leads by example and she does everything that she needs to do to get her team a win," Sylvia Fowles said.

And she is aware that this group might not be together forever, so you better embrace tonight.

"You don't want to get too sentimental and start to miss people and thinking the season is getting close to an end but I'm also excited about the game," Moore said. "This has been a really rewarding year I think, and a fun group."
