4-Year-Old Girl Airlifted To HCMC After Dog Bite

COURTLAND, Minn. (WCCO) - A four-year-old girl suffered a dog bite to the neck Saturday morning at a rural residence near Courtland in Nicollet County.

According to the Nicollet County Sheriff's office, the girl was bit on the side of her neck by a 7-year-old German Shepherd/Australian Shepherd mix while she was petting it at.

She was transported to the New Ulm Medical Center, and later airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.

The dog has never attacked anyone before, and no charges have been filed.
