NASA Astronaut Tweets Picture Of Minneapolis From Space

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Ever wonder what Minneapolis looks like from space? Well, wonder no longer!

On Tuesday morning, NASA astronaut Dr. Kjell Lindgren tweeted the photo of Minneapolis from the International Space Station.

In 2005, Lindgren worked at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis for his chief resident year in emergency medicine.

The hospital responded, too.

Taiwan-born Lindgren is on his first space mission, Expedition 44, which objectives include "human research, biology and biotechnology, astrophysics research, physical science investigations and education activities", according to NASA.
