Missing Winona Boater Found
WINONA, Minn. (WCCO) -- The body of a man who went missing while boating near the Prairie Island Spillway has been found.
The Winona County Sheriff's Office says the body of the 63-year old man was recovered around 8 p.m. Saturday.
Authorities say that just before 7:30 p.m. Friday, two people fell into the Mississippi River when their boat capsized after they attempted to pull over at the spillway.
One of the men was rescued by a passing boat. Neither man was wearing a life jacket.
