Army Staff Sgt. Who Grew Up In Minnesota Killed In Afghanistan
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A solder with Minnesota ties has died in a bombing in Afghanistan.
The Department of Defense says 31-year-old Staff Sergeant Adam Thomas died Tuesday after he was hit by a roadside bomb while on patrol with Afghan forces. Thomas was a Green Beret stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado.
The Star Tribune reports Thomas went to elementary school in the St. Peter area. His parents still live in Minnesota.
