Lynx fans lined Hennepin Avenue for a chance to celebrate with the champs.

"They won at home, they're an amazing team, the best Minnesota teams is women athletes! Awesome!" a Lynx fan said.

It was all about the Ladies, the Lynx and their third national championship in five years.

Team newcomer Renee Montgomery was soaking it all in. The view from Sky 4 shows just how many fans braved a brisk wind to make sure the Lynx know how much they are appreciated.

Team Captain Maya Moore says the love they get from fans is a big reason this team has been so successful.

"We are so grateful for our fans. They make this journey so much worthwhile and I just can't wait to spend more time with them inside at the pep rally," Moore said.

Inside Target Center, fans dressed in their team jerseys showed why they are considered the best fans in the league.

They cheered for each member of the championship team as they were introduced, and screamed even louder when Gov. Mark Dayton made Oct. 17 "Minnesota Lynx Day."

"They're everything to us," guard Lindsay Whalen said. "Having this home court advantage in this environment it's just great, it's the best home court advantage in the league and we just want to keep it going."

The Lynx have a dynasty in Minnesota with their three championships. So, will there be more to come?

"I think right now we're just living in this moment," forward Rebekkah Brunson said. "We're taking all of this in and trying to enjoy it."

The Lynx plan on celebrating with their fans the entire weekend. They started off Friday with breakfast at the Governor's Mansion.
