Marshal: Cause Of New Year's Day Fatal Fire Undetermined
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The State Fire Marshal says the cause of a fatal Vadnais Heights house fire on New Year's Day in 2015 is undetermined.
Joanne Nielson, 54, died in the fire at the home on the 700 block of Berwood Avenue.

Firefighters found her buried under ceiling debris. The medical examiner said her official cause of death was smoke inhalation.
The fire marshal says although the blaze was likely connected to the home's fireplace, the cause is inconclusive.
